A Few Things...

Hello Families!  Happy Spring!!!  We have been so busy learning new and exciting things here in third grade.  I want to thank all of you for being wonderful parents and so supportive.  I feel very blessed to have the privilege to work with such fantastic kids and caring families.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments.

 

Dates to remember:

Tomorrow  Spring pictures.  You don’t need to order ahead of time, you can look at the picture first and decide if you would like to order after.

 April 1^st:  Book orders due.

 April 2nd:  Last day of school before Spring Break. 

April 3rd-April 12th:  Spring Break.  I hope you all enjoy a wonderful and relaxing weekJ

April 13th:  School resumes-Late start!  School begins at 10:40.

April 16th:  Field trip to Howard Christensen Nature Center.  We will be leaving at 9 a.m. and returning around 2 p.m.

March 20th:  Jonathan Rand assembly-author of Michigan Chillers.

This Week

Tuesday the 3rd-Book Fair.  This goes all week, but our class will be visiting during our library time at 10:50-11:20.

Wednesday the 4th- Evening conferences.  They are optional and only 5 minutes.  Just a heads up that we will not have child care available.

Thursday the 5th-Spelling test and last day of our week together.

Friday the 6th-No school, enjoy your weekend!

Assembly

Here are a few pictures from our assembly today.  We learned some great history and dances from a Native American.  This ties in well with our social studies history of Michigan!

Channel 8 Came Today!

It was so exciting meeting Wyatt and his family today.  I have been informed that we will be on the 5 o'clock news tonight-Channel 8.  Watch for us:)  Again a huge thank you to all of you that helped by donating money and or pop cans.  You are all amazing!

A few reminders….

 

1.        Last chance to order yearbooks.  If you still want one, you can turn in money tomorrowJ

2.       Field trips.  Howard Christensen Nature Center-Thursday, April 16^th 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  $5 per person

Lansing-Wednesday, May 13^th *Buses will leave before school approximately 7:30 a.m. and return at approximately 4 p.m.  $12 per student and $4 per adult.

3.       Valentine’s party is Friday, February 13^th 2:30-3:30.  Please see the note from our wonderful room moms below.  We will be decorating bags to collect our goodies in and the children are just signing their names to say who the Valentine is from.  We are not addressing who it is to because it is much quicker to pass them out this way.  Thanks!

4.       Monday, February 9^th.  WOOD tv 8 will be here to see our presentation of the amount raised to Wyatt and his family.  When I know details of when it will air I will let you all know.  If you still would like to donate cans or money feel free to send them in by tomorrow.  Thank you for all of your contributions!!!

5.       No school for mid-winter break February 16^th-17^th.
