We are having a blast celebrating March and that it is
reading month. We talked about how reading is always fun but we have
really enjoyed and celebrated it this month. This week we read
books by Dr. Seuss and this afternoon enjoyed a reward of watching Horton Hears
a Who. We also had fun listening to our mystery reader Mr. Rutgers
today.
Language Arts: We have been working hard on Readers’
Theaters and started performing. I love watching how the confidence in
each of them grows as we practice! During our writing we have continued
working on our persuasive writing about Michigan. We are currently typing
our work in the computer lab and will be making books soon.
Math: We are working in unit 7 and I am so lucky to
have great volunteers coming in to practice math facts with all of the kids.
Spelling: This last week was a tough week for
most. If your child had a difficult time, they will have a chance to
retake the test Monday.
